Blepharoplasty Before & After Gallery
OVERVIEW
Aging of the eyes is often the first noticeable sign of the aging process. Typically occurring in the third decade of a person’s life, excess skin and fat result in the eyes wrinkling and causing an aged appearance. Eyelid rejuvenation surgery restores a more youthful appearance to the eyes and has given countless patients renewed confidence.
Eyelid surgery is a highly personalized procedure since it can involve the upper eyelids, lower eyelids or both. Which part of the eyelid is operated on will depend on the amount of wrinkling around the eye as well as the results that the patient wants to achieve.
DR. CONSTANTINE’S PHILOSOPHY
ON BLEPHAROPLASTY
Because blepharoplasty is such a personalized procedure, I think it’s vitally important to assess every patient individually to find out what the best approach is. I also think it’s incredibly important to discuss the details of the procedure with each patient so they’re completely clear on what the results will be as well as any side effects. I find this approach to be extremely effective in providing optimal results.
WHEN CAN I EXPECT TO SEE THE FINAL RESULTS?
All swelling typically resolves in 1-2 months. This is when you can truly see the results of the surgery. The great thing about eyelid surgery, particularly when performed on the upper eyelids, is that the results can last a lifetime. That is not to say that the aging process is halted, but rather that you get the benefits of skin and fat removal from the eyes is permanent.
AM I A GOOD CANDIDATE FOR THIS PROCEDURE?
The best candidates for eyelid surgery are people without any serious eye conditions such as glaucoma and without any medical conditions that might hinder the healing process. It’s also incredibly important to have a healthy and realistic expectation of the results you can expect.
