OVERVIEW
Sagging breasts is something that causes a lot of women to feel self-conscious about their appearance. It’s something that happens naturally with age as the skin loses its elasticity but can also occur due to pregnancy and breast feeding. A breast lift addresses this and restores a more youthful appearance to the breasts.
The main aim of a breast lift procedure is to restore the volume of the breasts. This is achieved by removing the excess skin around the breasts and tightening the surrounding tissue. A breast lift is often combined with augmentation so that both the volume and size of the breasts can be increased.
DR CONSTANTINE’S PHILOSOPHY
ON BREAST LIFTS
When it comes to breast lifts, it’s always my aim to achieve the most natural looking results possible. Whilst it’s sometimes suitable to combine a breast lift with breast augmentation through the use of implants, I take a highly personalized approach and assess each patient’s unique body type and skin elasticity to ensure the best possible results.
WHAT KIND OF RESULTS SHOULD I EXPECT?
The results of the breast lift will be apparent immediately but it will usually take a few months for shape and the position of the breasts to settle. Incision lines remain but are usually small and will fade over time. Whilst the results of a breast lift are permanent, lifestyle factors will of course affect the appearance of your breasts over time. The best way to maintain the results achieved from your breast lift is to maintain a healthy weight through good nutrition.
The first step to getting a breast lift is to arrange a consultation. This is where you’ll be able to have all your questions answered, have your breasts assessed and the procedure will be explained to you in detail.
AM I A GOOD CANDIDATE FOR THIS PROCEDURE?
Because there is more than one type of breast lift, it’s vital to book a consultation so that Dr Constantine can assess your particular body type, the extent of sagging and also the elasticity of your skin. Only then can it be determined whether you’re a suitable candidate and which type of procedure would work best.
